Since 2016, an average of 28 million hectares have been cut down worldwide every year. That’s one football field of forest lost every single second around the clock.

Australia has lost almost 40 percent of its forests over the last 200 years and the remaining forests are highly fragmented.
Every year an estimated 500,000 hectares of native forests and woodlands are bulldozed. This is equivalent to over 200,000 trees per day.
As a result, over 1000 species of plants and animals are at risk of extinction including the koalas.
